Toilet vs ca$INo

News has widely spread that Singapore has decided to go ahead with the casino plan. While there lack much information at the time of press, something for sure is that there gonna be two them up in 5 years’ time.

Despite the fact that there will indeed be casinos, the government keeps emphasising that the focus should be the integrated resorts (IR), which include shopping premises, recreational facilities, extraordinary performances and possibly an F-1 racing track, etc, to serve as the main attractions; the casino would just be a part of the grand plan. Mass media is blamed for putting the casino issue under microscope.

Nevertheless, if we were to apply the same logic we can infer that toilets in the IRs may also play an important role. They can promote how nice the toilets are, featuring designer toilet bowls, mimicking toilet in Sultan Brunei's palace, a world class combination of western and eastern art. The local can save some airfare for no longer having the need to go abroad to visit the toilets in Genting or Las Vegas. It is just too convenient to visit the facilities nearby or perhaps casinos, which are just within walking distance, to gamble spend and spend and spend; then government taxes and taxes and taxes and GDP ups and ups and ups.

Anybody can interpret it in their own way!

Anyhow, the intention is very explicit. Without casino the resorts would lack uniqueness, hence, not able to attract big players to burn their redundant zer000s in their bank book to fuel the potential economic engine. Regardless of whether the selling point be toilet or casino, I may want to ask, in a country that is incomparably clean, is the money clean? Fortunately PAS does not exist here.
